PERIODONTICS

 Probe Evaluation

 X-ray Evaluation

X-Rays are used to see whether bone has been damaged or destroyed.

Treatments

Plaque Removal
Brushing, flossing, and professional cleaning can eliminate the plaque that builds up daily on teeth.

Scaling
Plaque and tartar (yellow or brown hardened plaque) are scrapped off the tooth's crown and roots.

 Root Planing
After Scaling, the rough surfaces of the root are smoothed, providing a healthy surface for healing.

 Flap Surgery
1.-The gum is lifted from the tooth and bone and disseased tissue is removed. The infected bone may also be reshaped.
2.-After surgery, the gum is repositioned and sutured in place.
